I walked around the city again starting at the Anzac bridge which was around the corner from me and ending up at the Sydney Harbour bridge.
This past weekend I took to the streets, to walk around and perfect my silhouette photography. Because silhouette photography is best at night I had a lot of time to waste. I walked from where I live in Pyrmont down to the Sydney House Opera and eventually ended up across the Harbour at Milson’s point. Milson’s point is home to Luna Park a small theme park that is somewhat similar to Coney Island in Brooklyn.
Last Weekend was the most eventful. I was able to catch Kanye West on his Sydney leg of the Yeezus tour. It was without a doubt the greatest concert I have ever been to.
The day after I attended the Festival of the Winds, which is a kite flying festival that takes place at Bondi Beach. Although I missed all the large kites, I managed to catch some of the smaller one that were still floating around.
Sorry that I am behind in my post everyone. It has been raining for weeks as it is now approaching summer. I haven’t really been able to get out and tour because I am afraid to get my camera wet. But I would like to reintroduce myself and catch you guys up. My name is Kadeem Watts. I am a Broadcasting major and photography minor. I am spending my Fall 14′ Semester abroad in Sydney Australia. I currently attend a small university, named the Australian Catholic University. Over the course of the semester I will be compiling a photography blog of my various trips and sightseeing adventures. Hope you enjoy.
Here is a pic of the Strathfield Campus where all my classes are taken.
Last week I have won the photography competition at ACU. I entered literally 15 minutes before the deadline. This was the photo entered.
Yesterday I was presented with an award at a small ceremony along with the first prize reward.
